Redwood Ranch offers a personalized, stress free alternative to commercial kennels, co-hosted by the worlds finest "Branch Manager, " Nico, our 3-year-old Golden Retriever.
Every new dog starts with a free meet & greet, so they can sniff things out before booking.
Redwood Ranch is a single-story ranch farmhouse on a fully fenced in quarter acre in Orangevale, CA. The yard is fully fenced with an automatic safety gate and shaded by a giant maple tree in the front and ten mature redwoods in the back, so it stays cool even in a Sacramento July. Inside, it's an open farmhouse layout with no steps anywhere, easy on puppies and old legs alike.

Nico and I live here full-time, so your dog is never handed off to a rotating staff or left alone in a run. Nico is my 3-year-old field golden, the official "branch manager," greeter and everyone's favorite playmate.
From lazy days in the yard to adventurous trail runs and swimming at Folsom Lake, we are very active and eager to ensure your fur babies have as much fun as you do while you are away.
We truly aim to make Redwood Ranch your dogs home away from home.
“Redwood Ranch has truly been Teddy’s home away from home. From quick overnights to three-week stays, he’s always been happy there: napping in the shade under the redwoods, lounging on the couch, and getting around easily with no stairs to worry about. At his age, that peace of mind means everything to us.”
“Thor has special dietary needs, and Matt follows his routine to the letter every single time. After multiple weeklong stays, Thor still can’t get enough of playing with Nico, cooling off in the kiddie pool and fending off squirrels. The last time we picked him up, he flat-out refused to get in the car. That says it all!”
“Zipper has basically grown up at Redwood Ranch Pet Retreat, and it’s done wonders for him. He’s so much more comfortable around new people now. Between his allergies, his special diet and his unique quirks, he isn’t the easiest dog to care for, but Matt has always handled every detail without missing a beat.”
“Oso is a high-energy border collie mix who needs to stay busy, and a lot of places just can’t keep up with him. At Redwood Ranch, it’s no problem at all. He gets room to run in the big fenced yard and plenty of activity, and he comes home happy and tired.”
“Montana loves Redwood Ranch so much that he starts getting excited when we’re still a few miles away. He knows exactly where we’re headed. You can’t fake that kind of excitement, and it’s why we keep coming back.”
